How to add an app development agency to your Replit project
Open your Replit project, click Invite at the top right, and invite aios@theappagency.com by email. We accept from the invitation email.
If the project is already on GitHub, you can add @the-app-agency to that repository instead.

Before you start
Use the project’s Invite, not Settings → Workspace collaborators. That adds us to the whole workspace.
On some plans, an invite can use one of your seats, and anyone who sends prompts in your project can use your credits. We don’t send prompts, so we won’t use your credits. Check your plan’s seat rules before you invite us.
Please don’t send us a ZIP. Replit’s Download as zip can include a .cache folder, which may hold secrets. An invite keeps your keys where they are.
Invite us to the project
Pick the lowest role that lets us see the code. If your plan offers Viewer or Read-only, choose that. If it doesn’t, choose Editor. We won’t change anything. Never make us a workspace owner or admin.
Open the project and click Invite at the top right.

Enter aios@theappagency.com and send the invite. If Replit asks for an access level, use the role note above.

We accept from the invitation email.
Don’t send us the private join link instead. Anyone holding that link can edit the project.
Or add us on GitHub
Use this if you already keep the project in a GitHub repository, or want to.
In the project, open Tools → Git (under Setup). If the project has no repository yet, click Initialize Git Repository.

Connect your GitHub account, set the project’s remote to a new private repository, and push: review the changes, stage them, commit and push.

On GitHub, open the repository and go to Settings, then Collaborators (under Access in the sidebar), and click Add people.

Type the-app-agency, pick it, and confirm with Add the-app-agency to your repository. GitHub emails us the invitation, and we accept it.

If your GitHub organization restricts outside apps, an organization admin may need to approve Replit before it can reach the repository. If the repository belongs to an organization, email hey@theappagency.com and we’ll walk you through access.
Good to know
Guides that say collaboration “needs Teams” are out of date. Replit replaced Teams with Pro in 2026.
Guides that mention “Multiplayer” describe the same feature. The button is now Invite.
Removing our access
When your audit is done, we remove ourselves where your platform lets us. You can remove us any time, too.
Replit: open Invite on the project again and remove aios@theappagency.com.
GitHub: in the repository’s Settings → Collaborators, remove the-app-agency.
Questions people ask
Can I push my Replit project to GitHub?
Yes. Open Tools, then Git, initialize a repository if there isn’t one, connect GitHub, and commit and push your changes from the Git pane.
Can I download my Replit code as a ZIP?
Yes. Open the three-dot menu at the top of the file tree and choose Download as zip, unless your admin has turned on Ban source code export. The ZIP can include a .cache folder that may hold secrets, so check it before you share it.
Will the agency use my Replit credits?
We don’t send prompts, so we won’t use your credits. Before you start has the detail.
